Change of ownership at FTA
In September 2023, Transtech Holding AG of Muhen will take over FTA AG. With the same values as FTA, the handover of the company has been a resounding success.
Transtech Holding comprises the companies Trelco AG, Swissfilter AG and Zehnder Batterien AG. All three firms have established themselves as major players in the Swiss market over their long history.
FTA is set to benefit from the resulting synergies and further expand its market share.

New premises
The Swiss headquarters is housed in a modern Minergie-certified building. Offices, warehouses and workshops are located in Unterentfelden near Aarau. The central location between Zurich and Bern is of great importance for the fast delivery service.
FTA is one of the leading suppliers of wheels, castors, ball rollers and transport equipment. The range, comprising several thousand items, is complemented by bespoke products manufactured to customers’ specifications.

Swiss headquarters
The company’s Swiss headquarters are located in Unterentfelden, in a very central location between Zurich and Bern.
Thanks to a modern logistics service, we are able to offer a fast delivery service.

Establishment in Germany
FTA Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH was founded in Germany in 1990 and serves the EU region.
1980
Expansion of the range of car trailers
Our range has been expanded to include the Danish car trailers “Brenderup”.
In 1994, this led to the establishment of an independent company, FTA Anhänger AG. Since March 2009, you can find a large exhibition of all kinds of car trailers in Suhr.

Expansion of the product range
Over the years, our in-house production has been supplemented by selected products from leading global manufacturers.
Thanks to this diverse range, FTA is able to offer the best products on the market, regardless of the manufacturer.
1965
Establishment of a public limited company
The consultancy firm and the design office merged to form a public limited company specialising in wheels, castors, transport equipment and handling equipment.
Retail became a second pillar of the business.
1961
Company Founding
With his engineering firm specialising in vehicle construction, the company’s founder, Hans Walter Kaufmann (21 August 1929 – 28 September 2022), laid the foundations for FTA in Aarau.
During this period, we focused in particular on the development and design of transport equipment and special-purpose vehicles.
